Join Feben Aseffa and Lwam Mehari as they report on the findings of the recent AOM study, Experiences of Racism Among BIPOC Midwives and Students in Midwifery Education and Profession. This study
examines BIPOC midwives and students experiences of racism within the context of midwifery education, the profession itself, and the broader healthcare system as a whole.
In the absence of Canadian midwifery research on racism experienced by providers, these findings offer the groundwork for engaging in dialogue with respect to building a midwifery profession that is inclusive, equitable and culturally safe.
