Apply to Be a Locum Midwife
The AOM's Rural, Remote & Far North Locum Program was established to help provide continuity of care for clients of rural and remote and far north midwives, and to provide short-term relief to midwives working in rural, remote and far north communities.
Upon completion of the application below, you'll begin receiving advertisements for locum positions from the AOM. You can also review locum positions on our Career Postings page. When you see a position you want to apply for, contact the practice directly.
General registrant midwives are eligible to do locum placement work funded by the AOM Locum Program, as long as they are not a current member of the practice where the locum work is to be completed, or have not been a member of the practice within the four months preceding the locum period.
